Sad News Indeed,
Dear JOCLA members,
It is with a sad heart that I have to report that one of our oldest members has lost his son to a common accident. Mitchel Valvano, 44 years, had fallen down a staircase in his home just after Labor Day. Was taken to St, Joseph Hospital in Orange. Mitch had fractured his left shoulder bone. Three days later, Mitch suffered internal bleeding and passed away in hospital.
Those of you who know Domenic, he is generous and jovial Italian Brit with a dry sense of humor and a willingness to help and a ready joke. Today, we morn his loss, no parent should have to bury their child. Domenic also lost his wife of 50 years two years ago. Let's keep Domenic in our thoughts and prayers.
