You have the unique opportunity to be a part of Road Rally History. Nearly 50 years ago road rallies and club driving events were as common as a Tesla in Los Angeles, but slowly the culture dissolved. As of today, The Jaguar Owners Club of Los Angeles stands as one of the few remaining clubs in the nation that supports, organizes and promotes road rally events of all types. Our club leaders seek to rebuild this lost tradition at a grassroots level - and people are taking notice.
On the 10th November of this year The Pasadena Landmark Tour marks a pivotal step in the rebirth of this great driving tradition. Participants can choose between a scenic driving tour or a challenging time-speed-distance rally - both take drivers on the unique route immersed in history. The route offers drivers and their passengers the opportunity to gain an appreciation for the heritage of the San Gabriel Valley as they meander past historical landmarks and discover the beautiful tree lined neighborhoods of Pasadena before entering into majesty and grandeur of the Angeles National Forest. The road climbs as the mountains rise upward as drivers navigate the legendary twists and turns of Angeles Crest Highway are legendary. The route concludes in the charming foothill village of Montrose where we will share good food and great stories at the Star Cafe.
All great lost traditions find their way back into the hearts Americans so that future generations can appreciate them. Road rallies and organized driving events exemplify these traditions and this event provides a great foundation on which we can rebuild from.
