Yes, it’s back!  To our special friends, Ford Motor Company is hosting a one-time return of Cars & Coffee at our Irvine campus!  

  • Celebrating the best of Cars & Coffee heritage while giving back to the community.
  • By invitation only, to a select group of the “faithful” and the very best cars.
  • Limited to 1978 and older cars and motorcycles (plus some surprises we are arranging).
  • We will make exception for truly rare and exceptional post-1978 cars (think XJR-15, RS200, Aston Martin One-77, etc.) – please submit.

Presented in the spirit and format of our 2006 – 2014 era, this will bring friends together like before, but with one important mission that led to this return …

Gang Reduction & Intervention Partnership

 

Sponsored by the Orange County District Attorney’s office, this organization’s mission is to divert at-risk youth away from gangs and toward completion of high school.  Ford employees in Orange County personally participate in school visits and host an annual GRIP student day in our Design Center. This has been hugely rewarding and we decided to combine this mission with a Cars & Coffee fundraiser, all proceeds to GRIP.

 

For every car or motorcycle displayed, we suggest a $20 donation as you arrive, for which you will receive a tax receipt, a goodie bag and a limited-edition 2019 C&C windshield sticker.

 

Cash only, please, to allow quick entry!

 

GRIP will host a Lounge in our Design Center Courtyard providing information and an opportunity for additional donations.

Spectators are free, donations are encouraged!  Spectator parking is in the Taco Bell parking structure.

 

Food & coffee will be served, of course!

 

Cars will be grouped by nationality … American, English, German, Italian, French, Japanese … plus special exhibits.

 

And, Lincoln will present a Driven to Give ride and drive event as part of our campaign to raise money for GRIP.  Lincoln will make a donation for each test drive!

 

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement will have special displays describing their role in changing young lives through GRIP.

 

As an influential member of the SoCal car community, we invite you to select cars and owners that you suggest to attend.  We ask that you extend an invitation to the owners of the best cars that represent your circle or club and send us your car count once confirmed.  Feel free to discuss with us in advance if you wish.

 

As submissions come to us, we will allocate spots in the lot until we have 300 cars committed. 

 

Variety and interest are the key criteria.  Every car should be an event in itself!

 

Racecars are welcome … trailer parking is provided behind the Taco Bell building.

 

Groups are welcome to bring promotional signage (e.g., Luftgekühlt, Shelby club, etc.) but please no E-Z ups or space-consuming display materials.

 

This is not being publicized to the general public!  We ask that social media be avoided and internet traffic be limited only to inviting those in your circle who share our interest in the best vintage cars.

 

And, please, no media publicity in advance.  Members of the media are welcome to attend and report during and after the event.
