Schedule & Details

The following is the schedule of events for the 2018 JCNA International Jaguar Festival Santa Barbara California:

Wednesday, October 31, 2018

This is a chance for the club members and those Jaguar owners from across the country to come to enjoy the vast and fascinating collection of rare race cars, vintage and classic cars, one-off specials, and original condition collector cars. These rarely seen cars will be the highlight of the evenings doings. After the tour, we will all gather for an interesting and informative panel discussion with Jim McErlean, Heacock Insurance, and our own Kevin Easton, Easton Robertson Insurance. They will be discussing the Collector Car Business, the investment cycles, how to determine True Value vs. Stated Value Issues, etc.

After the Vault Tour and Presentations, we will enjoy a FIVE -STAR dinner at Drago Restaurant in the Petersen Museum. There is indoor/outdoor seating and great conversations about what we had just experienced will prevail, this will be a special event indeed. Also, don’t forget the Petersen Gift Store, with all sorts of car goodies and books, and neat stuff. (NO CAMERAS ALLOWED IN THE VAULT)

JCNA SLALOM at the Solvang Airport or Lompoc Airport (TBD)
All right you LEAD FOOTS, this is your time to show your stuff and earn the bragging rights to be the FASTEST for the Festival. The JCNA Slalom offers challenges for the novice and expert alike; the only thing holding you back is your left foot saying NO and your right foot saying, “get out of the way!” The JCNA Slalom course is a modified figure eight layout, low speed event which tests your ability to keep going without spinning out and, more importantly, remembering the course layout; that’s the real challenge. There will be a driver’s school and practice runs before times will count. So, plan on giving it a GO; you might surprise yourself. You must provide your own Snell Approved Helmut. To go fast? HINT: Traction control OFF!  Come be a spectator. You might just want to try to beat the event times!

Welcome Reception on the hotel's Upper Rotunda with wine tastings featuring some of the best wineries in the Santa Barbara area. There might be a micro-brewery slipped in there too. The views from the Rotunda are beautiful, especially at sunset, looking out over the ocean and Sterns Beach.

Dinner on your own in Downtown Santa Barbara at many of the gourmet restaurants along the beach boulevard. The weather that time of year is generally balmy, mild evenings, with gentle breezes, great for taking evening walks along the beach, enjoying a desert in the FUNK ZONE or wine tasting for a night-cap. “I prefer a PORT, dark chocolate, and a fine cigar myself.” Mark Mayuga

OR take the Scenic Tour through the Santa Barbara and Montecito Hills to Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley.

“MONTE CARLO NIGHT” at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort

Presenting Sponsor- WELSH ENTERPRISES

Old Spanish/Mexican buffet dinner and benefit gambling event for the JLR Program, “Join the Regiment”, benefiting the military veterans training program for careers in the Jaguar Land Rover dealerships.

Surely many of you have participated in BENEFIT MONTE CARLO NIGHTS in your area and most are for worthy causes. Join the Regiment is such a program that has special meaning to us all, helping veterans get an education in a productive after-service career. The Jaguar Land Rover program, in partnership with Snap-On Tools, trains these folks to be service writers, managers, parts countermen, and in other careers in the JLR company and family of dealers. Many of these VETS are partially disabled and yet have the drive and discipline to learn and motivation to participate in a meaningful automotive industry career. Your participation in this evening's event will help those wonderful folks back into society to work for one of the greatest companies in the automotive industry.

The event will feature 5 blackjack tables, 2 craps tables, roulette, and 1 poker table. So, if you’re feeling lucky, here’s a chance to win some prizes and contribute to a worthy cause.
