GLENDORA HILL CLIMB, CONQUERED!

Good day to everyone!  What a day for a drive from Claremont to the San Gabriel Mountains.  Melody looked at the route, all its twist bits, and said to me, “You’re on your own.  You can take my car.”  I remembered the last time my XJS V12 was at an event.  It was 5/2019.  This was the Muck Concours.  I had not taken this car on a driving event since joining in 2013.  The forecasted afternoon temps were not too bad.  So, what the hey?  Off I went on a morning that turned out to be much warmer than I thought, but there was no turning back once I took off from Placentia.

PART 2. RESTORE…

 

So, you want to restore an older JAGUAR and you’re not sure what your first steps are.

 

 … Answer these questions first!

 

  1. Have you found an automobile that still has most if not all its original major components such as the engine, transmission, suspension, body parts, electrical systems, etc.
  2. Have you determined the value of the automobile after your restoration process is complete? In other words, the market value if you were to sell it or auction it off. Will the car be worth less or more when you factor in your restoration investment?
