            Jaguar owners are a special breed of CAT. How many times have we all heard that cliché? Well, when it comes to JCNA CONCOURS competition there are no exceptions. The guys and gals that participate in this segment of JCNA Jaguar events are a driven lot. Driven to keep their Jags as original as possible, to keep them as clean as a hospital operating room, and to maintain the mechanicals and electrical systems that we all have come to enjoy and complain about. The endless hours of rubbing, polishing, cleaning, painting, stitching, gluing, testing, researching, the list goes on, only to be judged by JCNA Certified Judges and to hope they have done a proper job.

            And, at the end of the day to look at a score sheet to see what imperfections or missing part was scored by the judge; what water spots or gasoline residue was found wanting; water stains on the headliner; or simply the wrong number of pleats in your driver’s seat. Such is the demands of JCNA Champion and Driven Division competition. You must admire the commitment of these members for their efforts and energy to maintain these automobiles, for their efforts reflect the preservation of Jaguar History and traditions.

            You might say these cars are “trailer queens or garage dwellers”, but I say, not at all, I know for a fact that this year’s winners are driven on club events, rally and tours, and that the owners participate regularly at Cars & Coffee events, regional meets, or simply Sunday drives. My hearty congratulations to our eight JOCLA members who scored in the national JCNA 2020 Competition Year, Well Done to you all, BRAVO!!!
