Jaguar Owners Club Inc., 2020 JCNA CONCOURS RESULTS

            Due to the Covid-19 outbreak earlier this year the three Southern California Jaguar Clubs, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Inland Empire, were forced to postpone their annual Concours to October of this year.

            We held two Concours on the weekend of October 3rd. and 4th., in the beautiful and quaint town of Idyllwild, California. The Concours field was on the grounds of the historic Idyllwild Inn. A location that has been used by the clubs for many years.

There were approximately eighty-five Jaguar members in attendance. Covid-19 protocol measures were in effect during the events which included a cocktail party on Friday and an Italian dinner on Saturday.

            The Inland Empire Jaguar Club held their Concours on Saturday October 3rd followed by the Jaguar Owners Club Concours on Sunday October 4.

Two weeks later, October 17, the San Diego Jaguar Club held their Concours on the grounds of Classic Showcase restoration shop in Vista California. Again, attendance was close to ninety members from the three SoCal Clubs. The Saturday Concours was hosted by Tom Krefetz and his staff. Tom conducted tours of the various restoration departments of his award-winning Jaguar restoration business. Classic Showcase reputation worldwide is well known and seeing firsthand the professionalism of their premises only underscored the well-deserved reputation.

            I am happy to report that no one attending these Concours came down with COVID-19 symptoms, all participants practiced the guidelines, also a thank you to Mike Zavos and Ella for their thoughtful goodie bags which included additional face masks. Also, thank you to MOSS CLASSIC JAGUAR, Kevin Kastner, for their contributions. Also, a thank you to CLIVE COLLINS and XKS MOTORSPORT for their sponsorship of the awards dinner.

            In reviewing the 2020 Jaguar Club of North America Concours National standings there were 27 participants. Of which 17 participants were members of the three SoCal Jaguar Clubs. That is 63% of the attendees! Not too shabby!
